Your compounds are yours
Teams submit novel structures and unpublished hypotheses. We treat that responsibility seriously and explain precisely how your data is handled.
Key data principles
-
Isolated compute environments
Each team's jobs run in its own isolated environment. Infrastructure-level separation keeps inputs, parameters, and results apart. Teams cannot access one another's data, and our systems cannot read molecular structures while a job runs.
-
No training on submitted data
SilicoLabs does not train or fine-tune AI models with your structures, hypotheses, or simulation results. Submitted data is used only to perform the simulations you request, regardless of plan tier.
-
Encryption at rest, in transit
Data in transit uses TLS 1.2 or higher, while data at rest uses AES-256. Files in your simulation results archive are encrypted and available only to authenticated members of your team.
-
Retention and deletion controls
Results remain available for your plan's retention period: 90 days on Pilot, 1 year on Lab, and unlimited on Department. You may request early deletion of any or all results. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Intellectual property ownership
You retain ownership of everything you provide. Novel compounds, experimental hypotheses, unpublished protein sequences, and other submitted data remain your intellectual property. SilicoLabs claims no rights to inputs or results produced for you.
This also covers derived outputs. When you submit a known public structure, such as a protein from the PDB, the resulting binding energy calculations, trajectory analysis, and interpretation belong to you. We retain no rights to results or derivative analyses.
Review our full Terms of Service before submitting data covered by institutional IP agreements. Groups with specific handling obligations, such as clinical-stage biotech or university tech-transfer requirements, can contact [email protected] about a custom data processing agreement.
Infrastructure and compliance
Cloud infrastructure
Canada (Ontario)
Computing uses infrastructure hosted in Canadian data centers, with Canada as the default data residency. US or EU residency is available for Department plan accounts.
Access controls
Role-based access
Team accounts can add or remove members, grant read-only or contributor roles, and review login history. Each user's API keys are separately scoped and revocable.
Data processing agreements
Available on Department plan
Department customers may request a signed DPA alongside the standard Terms of Service. Contact us to begin. Proposed custom changes are reviewed individually.
Questions and security reports
For general data questions, email [email protected] with "Data question" as the subject.
To report a security vulnerability, email [email protected] with "Security disclosure" as the subject. Receipt is acknowledged within 48 hours, with an assessment targeted within 10 business days. We do not currently run a public bug bounty program.
